Expectation of Coaches
Expectation of Coaches
1. Treat all players with respect. All coaches must complete the RPC Child Protection Class as a condition for being a coach in the league.
2. Be familiar with and have access to the rules of the game.
3. Provide instruction for both individual and team development. Coaches should come to each practice with a well-prepared plan. Practices should begin and end on time.
4. Dress appropriately. Coaches are encouraged to set an example for their team in the way they dress. For example, coaches should not wear bathing suits, tank tops, or flip-flops.
5. Avoid confrontations with referees that result in ejection.
6. Only one coach is allowed to stand during the game. Assistant coaches must remain seated during the game.
